WOLVES REPORTEDLY EYEING DEAL FOR CHILE INTERNATIONAL YOUNGSTER DARIO OSORIO
Wolverhampton Wanderers are believed to be eyeing a move for Chilean teenager, Dario Osorio, according to recent reports. As per the Express and Star, the Midlands side are said to be ‘interested’ in a potential swoop for the highly-rated 18-year-old, with the Premier League side currently ‘monitoring his progress’. The reports outlined that any suggestion that a deal has already been completed is ‘wide of the mark’, although the Universidad de Chile sensation is currently a player on their radar, with a January move not out of the question.
The youngster has warranted such interest following a sparkling start to life at senior level for both club and country, having already scored six goals in just 22 games for his current side thus far, with that form alerting the attention of his national side. The two-cap gem has sparkled as a result of his devastating displays in recent times, with the forward offering a real potent threat cutting in from the right flank onto his favoured left foot, with that knack seeing him earn comparisons to fellow South American star, Angel Di Maria.
The £450k-rated starlet has also received a glowing reference from compatriot Raul Toro, who recently compared him to Barcelona sensation, Raphinha. His obvious quality out wide – which has seen the dynamic ace lauded as a “very good player” by club teammate Pedro Ojeda – could well see Osorio fill the shoes of current Wolves star, Pedro Neto, with the Portugal international having been linked with an exit of late.
