Edu Vargas and Gary Medel were the goal-scorers for Chile as they cruised to a victory but this has arrived with a price as it has been revealed that the Chilean midfielder picked up a knock during the match and could be facing a short time on the sidelines of Juventus in order to fully recover before coming back into the playing grounds.
Arturo Vidal is one of the star players of Chile but also for Juventus and the midfielder will indeed have to stay for a period of time on the bench, it’s going to be a huge loss for his Italian club as he plays a key role in the team of Massimiliano Allegri.
A statement from the official website of Juventus stated: “After sitting out yesterday’s training in Vinovo, Arturo Vidal today underwent medical tests which revealed a light strain of the semitendinosus muscle in his right thigh. The 27-year-old has immediately begun his rehabilitation program and further examinations to monitor his progress are scheduled for next week.”
It still remains unsure as to how long exactly Arturo Vidal will be missing out and how many matches the Chilean midfielder is going to miss out but this knee injury that he is sustaining is not the first time that Vidal has suffered from. At the end of the last season Arturo Vidal went through a knee surgery and if this latest injury that he picked up is very severe, he could be missing out from a large amount of matches, further scans and tests are expected to be done on Arturo Vidal within the next few days in order to completely determine the severity of this latest knock that he sustained.
