COPA AMERICA: CHILE MAINTAIN UNBEATEN RUN
Chile have maintained their unbeaten status at the COPA America tournament being played on Brazilian soil following their 1-1 draw with Uruguay in their latest match in Group A. Chile have now played three games in their group without tasting a single defeat.
Uruguay lost their first game at the tournament to Argentina thanks to a 1-0 defeat made sure by the first half strike from Guido Rodriguez when the two teams met last week. They were able to pick up their first point of the tournament after the 1-1 draw with the Chileans with Atletico Madrid star Luis Suarez getting the goal for the Uruguayans close to the midway point of the second half.
With the result against Uruguay, Chile are one of just three teams yet to taste defeat at the Copa America tournament. Apart from Chile, host nation Brazil and Argentina are also yet to taste defeat at the tournament. The Chileans were able to maintain their second spot behind Argentina in Group A. Chile have five points from three games and are two points off leaders Argentina who have recorded seven points from their first matches in the group. Chile have two more points than Paraguay in third place on the group standings though the Paraguayans have played just two games.
