Tottenham Hotspur and Denmark International, Christian Eriksen could be on the move to Premier League rival Manchester United in the next transfer window. Man Utd are believed to be in pole position to sign the midfielder.
Manchester United are in need of reinforcement in the attacking third and Eriksen ticks all the boxes required. The Denmark international is a proven Premier League performer with 94 International caps.
Metro UK reported that Man Utd are willing to reignite interest in the playmaker during the winter transfer window after their failed attempt during the summer.
The Red Devils are confident of getting a deal done during the January transfer window, given the player’s contract situation.
It has been reported that Ole is a long term admirer of the playmaker’s quality and he believes he is the right man to bolster their creative chances. United have been lacking in attacking quality since the departure of Chile star Alexis Sanchez and Belgium ace Romelu Lukaku.
There have been complaints from the fans that the midfield is bereft of creativity with star player Paul Pogba sitting on the sidelines for most of the season. Eriksen is seen as a safe option for the club due to his experience in the EPL and the financial implications involved.
He is also the sort of signing that would make Manchester United fans excited and should be able to bring stardust to the club.
Man Utd are not the only club credited with an interest, Eriksen have gathered suitors from Abroad, the likes of Spanish giants, Real Madrid, Barca, and Athletico have also shown interest.
The 28-year-old contract is running out and Spurs are on the verge of losing him on a free. Eriksen joined Tottenham from Ajax in 2013 and he has made over 200 League appearances scoring 50 League goals in the process.
