BRAVO DEPARTS MAN CITY AFTER FOUR YEARS

Pep Guardiola continues with his work on the team roaster since he took over. The club has confirmed that Claudio Bravo has left the club. The Chile international has departed the Etihad stadium after the expiration of his deal.

Bravo was the first goalkeeper Pep Guardiola signed when he arrived at the Etihad Stadium back in the summer of 2016 for around £15.4m. Bravo, 37, went on to make 61 appearances for City in total. He managed to keep 20 clean sheets. The Chilean had been limited to mainly cup appearances since the arrival of Ederson from Benfica back in the summer of 2017. (more…)

OLE STILL BELIEVES IN SANCHEZ

 

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that Alexis Sanchez can turn by returning to the club and regaining his best form. The Chile international has endured a turbulent time with the Red Devil since he made the move to join Man Utd in the winter of 2017.


The Chilean forward was loaned to Inter Milan last summer but sustained an injury while on international duty and has only recently returned to the fold for Antonio Conte’s Italian title-chasers before Covid19 put football on hold globally.

WILLIAN WANTS EPL STAY AHEAD OF CHELSEA EXIT

Willian has declared intention to continue in the premier league. The Brazil international will depart Chelsea at the end of the season and he is looking forward to continuing his career in England.


The Brazilian winger’s contract is set to run out at the end of the season. Willian has attracted interest from hosts of top clubs around Europe. Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are among the club’s to have declared their interest in the player. In the Premier league, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have made their intention known about the player. Arsenal are also monitoring the player’s situation.

BARCA AWAIT DEMBELE RETURN

Barca’s winger Dembele suffered an injury last year that has kept him out of the side for the past few weeks but after witnessing his training, new Barca coach has declared that he can’t wait for the France international to attain match fitness and be ready to play for Barca again.


With the Blaugrana reverting to their old philosophy, Setien would be hoping to use Dembele as much as possible while praying to the stars the French man does not turn another BojanKrkic.

Former United player turned pundit Lee Sharpesays the destiny of the Red Devil’s season rests on how well and how fast Paul Pogba and new signing Bruno Fernandes can link up in the middle of the park and form a strong partnership to free the forwards to attack more efficiently wile shielding the defenders from unnecessary exposure.


Although nobody is expecting the Portuguese and the French man to form a linkup as strong as the one between Clarence Seedorf and GenarroGattuso, a midfield decent enough to challenge for the premier league title next season will be a good start.

MANCHESTER UNITED EYEING DENMARK STAR

Tottenham Hotspur and Denmark International, Christian Eriksen could be on the move to Premier League rival Manchester United in the next transfer window. Man Utd are believed to be in pole position to sign the midfielder.


Manchester United are in need of reinforcement in the attacking third and Eriksen ticks all the boxes required.  The Denmark international is a proven Premier League performer with 94 International caps.

In football though, telling legends their time is up is almost like a taboo. Only Sir Alex Ferguson could and did it with reckless abandon. And not only was he the Legends of all Legends in his line of work– for that was the only way he earned the right to say whatever – even he knew when to draw the curtain and exit the stage.

CHILE FORWARD JOINS INTER MILAN

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez has joined Italian side Inter Milan on a season-long loan according to the club. Sanchez had been speculated by the media to be on his way out of the club all summer after falling down the pecking order last season.

The 29-year-old forward was part of the transfer swap in 2018 that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move to Arsenal. However his stay at United has been far from ideal with the forward failing to recapture the form he showed at the Emirates.

The Female Footballers Fighting for Change

Chile’s national football team did not step once on the football pitch for about two years but they had a great impact on their return. The match between Chile and Peru was barely advertised in media as well as by the country’s football federation.

Despite this, 10,000 football enthusiasts came to the stadium to see Chile beat Peru by 12-0. This was not done by the men’s football team but by the women’s football team which was ignored by the country’s football association for a very long time. (more…)

MANCHESTER UNITED COACH TO SELL FOUR PLAYERS

Manchester United finally gave Ole Gunner Solskjaer the permanent job last week after his excellent job in rejuvenating the squad. many fans believe that the club has a massive summer of rebuilding as they seek to challenge for the title next season.

One pundit who believes so is Manchester United Legend Gary Neville. Speaking in his Podcast the former fullback revealed that the Norwegian would be looking to sell four to five players while also seeking to tie some players on a long-term deal.
